LoRa Mesh GNSS Tracker
PCB design — schematic done, layout in progress.
Overview
A multi-sheet Altium board for a LoRa mesh GNSS tracker: ESP32-S3, SX1262 radio, USB-C, SPI flash, and a u-blox GNSS receiver. Started September 2026. The schematic is complete; layout is still in progress.
Power path
A single-cell LiPo feeds a CN3165 charger that can also take solar. The input has reverse-polarity protection, a USB fuse, and TVS. Separate 3.3 V LDO rails keep RF noise off the MCU. I simulated LDO startup in LTspice before committing the rails.
Radio and GNSS
The SX1262 path is a 50 Ω match from the radio to an SMA for the LoRa antenna. A MOSFET load switch power-gates the GNSS receiver so it can stay off when the tracker doesn’t need a fix.
